Our role is simple: to help local businesses and organizations support and promote each other, and the Pender Islands as a whole. On Pender, things work a little differently. We rely on each other more. Word of mouth matters. Connections matter. Timing (and ferries…) definitely matter.

Being part of the Chamber is one way to show that you’re here, you’re open, and part of the local business community. It’s something people notice when deciding where to spend their time and money.

The Chamber helps keep people connected, helps businesses and organizations be found, and speaks up when something affects the island as a whole.

Membership supports a few core things that help keep business and community life moving on Pender:

Helping people find local businesses and services through the Business Directory, Visitor Centre, referrals, and ongoing promotion.

Representing local needs in conversations around ferries, infrastructure, and other island priorities.
Connections across the island
Bringing people together through events, communication, and day-to-day relationships.
A way to stay informed
Sharing updates, opportunities, and what’s happening across the island.

  • Referrals through the Visitor Centre and general inquiries
